Made a reservation for Sunday brunch for a party of 4. Super relaxing environment, very friendly service...and the food was delicious! We ordered breakfast sandwich, beet cured salmon on a bagel, skillet egg, and the chilaquiles. For drinks we ordered a Bloody Mary, pop secco, iced matcha latte, and iced mocha. I was fortunate enough to be able to try everything...the chilaquiles had the right amount of heat and of course perfectly poached eggs, the skillet was like eating comfort food, the cured salmon bagel had this very crave able roe cream cheese, and the breakfast sandwich was very tasty. Out the door we got a cinnamon roll and a couple of cookies to go...tried them later and all delicious. This place is definitely worth the visit!

Playa Provisions is cool if you have a reservation or arrive when they first open the dining area. The best item on the menu is the mussels and clams. They change their menu every season and I wish they'd bring back the watermelon with paneer and chimichurri. To. Die. For.

Yesterday was my second time at Playa Provisions. My first visit was for dinner and my second was for their brunch. I have accepted the fact that Playa Provisions simply doesn't miss! I forgot to take photos of the oysters we had this time around, but hands down the BEST oysters I have ever had are here. I am not the biggest fan of oysters, so speaking from experience, this place will 100% make you a fan. Everything about Playa Provisions is an experience! Food, drinks, live music, "speak easy" whisky bar, delectable ice cream ... all while being steps from the beautiful Playa Del Rey beach. I also love that they offer $5 valet too. The manager, Zachariah has put together a phenomenal team and it shows in the high quality of service. The team is so happy, knowledgeable, lively, eager to serve, and so kind. I highly recommend .. well ... everything! You sincerely cannot go wrong with any of your choices. The chefs and mixologists legitimately hand craft everything; down to the smallest details. This place is a true gem in LA. Enjoy!

Only tried the iced chai latte here and I'll have to say, who ever made it or what ever syrup they used is beyond what I've ever had! It's flavorful, sweet not too sweet and everything I've expected and more. The reviews from everyone who tried their chai latte is not lying. The service was fast, quick and easy. They take your order for the drink and in a matter of seconds it's up! There is outdoor seating as well as inside seating. The space is very open and full of light. Will come back again for another drink!

Where do you begin? We came in for a two-top walk in on a Sunday. The service was exceptional, the decor was delightful and the food was to die for! We sat on their patio which is indoor/outdoor. The location is gorgeous and close to the shore. The valet parking was $10 cash only but convenient. Standouts on their menu were the scallops and the fish and chips. The little gem salad was unmatched by any salad out there, the flavors are so harmonious. I can't wait to return! We'd ordered dishes to-go for new parents stuck home with a newborn and they held up well!

Have been wanting to try this place. Decided to come her after trying to do Bacari as they didn't have a table top inside only outside. Upon arrival it's $5 parking valet or park yourself. Took a while for server for greet our table. Halfway through the meal our server changed and make up for the lack of speediness of the first one. Sourdough bread for $10, was good but not my favorite. We got a variety of oysters which were good, $4.25 each. Ahi tuna pretty presentation but tasted ok. I would recommend the beef cheek, muscles & clams w/ sourdough great for sharing and the mango pavlova. Server brought us a scoop of the olive oil ice cream because dessert took kind of long. Overall good food and nice ambiance. They offer HH Mon-Fri 5-6.

We tried it for the first time as we are intrigued by the top chef owner and if the food is a top chef quality , Comfortable and unpretentious atmosphere. We ordered the seared ahi with citrus sauce( delicious ) , clam chowder is creamy , For our entree lobster roll and Pasta Bolognese with lentils instead of meat ( creative and good ) and for the kill Pavlova ( excellent). Service ok Our only complaint is the noise level is very high, hard to have a conversation . Overall we are pleased and happy with the good

We loved this place. I was first intrigued by the name because it made me think of Mexico. We did not need a reservation on a Monday night at 8ish. The vibe/decor is welcoming and relaxing with a nice outdoor feel. If you can get that spot outdoor at the firepit, that would be the best spot in there to take a date. Outdoor area with open rooftop was nice but it did get a bit chilly. They do have blankets but it did cool our food down pretty quickly. Valet: $5. We parked ourselves but still paid fee. I heard others say there is nearby street parking. It was too cold for us to be in the uncovered outdoor seating in January (I guess this is the cafe for breakfast and lunch?) They asked us if we wanted indoors or out but the vibe in the back was more for us. Our meal: Cocktails - they have an innovative list - I had a new drink * Grimace ($17) - pisco, lemon, ube, egg white and nutmeg. I LOVE ube so had to try this (if you find a dessert with ube near you -try it!). This did take a while to come out. My partner had 2 of the ($9) Boomtown Pilsner draft beers before I received the cocktail. (They have a $3 Pilsner bottle on happy hour from 5-6pm m-f) Soup: Clam Chowder Bread Bowl ($19). This was amazing. One of the best if not the best clam chowder we've had. Bread: Get the sourdough bread ($5) if not getting a bread bowl. On ice: We tried the scallops ($5.5/e) and oysters ($4/e). Scallops in a navel orange nuoc Cham which was a bit spicy & strong. Oysters had cocktail, hot sauce and a vinegar sauce. I don't think I'd get either of these again and instead I'd try a fried crab claw pop ($9). Warm pretzel bites with jalapeño beer cheese ($8). These might be okay when having beers but it wasn't the star of our meal. But I am from Philadelphia and date a German so we are picky about pretzels. He would've preferred mustard which I did see on their menu with something. From the sea: we had John Dory fish ($30) in a lobster caper sauce over spiralized turnips. Haven't heard of this fish before. Light but firm. Was yummy especially with the turnips and the sauce. He had mussels & clams ($28) in a cashew and Serrano pesto broth. These seem to be popular here per the pictures. He enjoyed. They definitely had a strong pesto taste but the leftovers were great to make a pasta sauce the next night. Some of the shells seemed to be missing insides but maybe they sank to the bottom. (Searching for mussels on Yelp is what brought us here) Dessert: I posted a pic of the menu but they had: - warm apple cider doughnut ($12) with maple spice ice cream, brandy caramel, apple compote and candied walnuts. This is amazing and you should get this! -red velvet cake ($14) -salted caramel crème brûlée ($11) -baba al amaretto ($13) -warm chocolate chip cookies ($10) with bourbon milk (we got this as it seems to be a popular choice) Menu: it seems they do update their menu so the one on the website was not the most current. They should also have a list of their ice cream flavors but they had flavors such as ube chocolate chip cookie (amazing), chocolate with chocolate chip cookies, maple spice ice cream Service: we got a dirty napkin and they brought us one spoon when sharing chowder. Server was knowledgeable but must've been busy because lots of other people were taking orders and bringing out dishes so I didn't want to tell 2 people the same thing. Still, a nice time. But I do wish they would've let us know of the roof open above our table. They had heat lamps but a lot weren't working. So: cool vibe, a bit pricey, good food, service could've been better, a bit chilly outdoors in January, good for seafood, good date spot and DEFINITELY try the desserts/ ice cream. I'd come back just for the ice cream. Next time I'll probably try the lobster roll since so many people posted about that. The valet man said the fish tacos were great but I only saw fish and chips on the menu so maybe fish tacos are on the daytime menu. Per the website, "Playa Provisions is the third endeavor for Top Chef Winner Brooke Williamson and husband Nick Roberts. The unique model includes four different restaurant concepts nestled within one 7,000-square foot, beach side location. King Beach cafe offers casual breakfast and lunch fair. For dinner, Dockside exemplifies both Brooke and Nick's love for California coastal cuisine at an intimate dining room and beach side patio. After dinner stop by Small Batch for a pint of house made ice cream, or sneak into the back and enjoy some darker spirits at Grain Whiskey Bar. Inspired by the city's "country marts," the four separate, yet cohesive dining experiences provide a taste for everyone."
